Beef and Miso Ramen Mason Jar


For a hot lunch away from home, this grab-and-go soup is perfect to pack for work or school.

  • 1 pkg (4.6 oz) Pasta Roni® Garlic & Olive Oil Vermicelli
  • 1/4 cup red, yellow or white miso paste
  • 4 tsp sriracha hot sauce
  • 1 bag (3 oz) Matador® Original Beef Jerky, chopped  
  • 1 cup thinly sliced shiitake mushrooms (stems removed)
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced


Cook pasta according to package directions. Let cool completely.

Divide miso paste and hot sauce among four 2-cup Mason jars. Layer pasta, jerky, mushrooms, carrots, cilantro and green onions in jar. Seal jars and refrigerate for up to 1 day.

Pour enough boiling water into each jar to come to top, leaving 1-inch headspace. Stir well and seal each jar; let stand for 5 minutes before serving.


  • For milder soup, use white or yellow miso, for stronger-flavored soup, use red miso.
  • You can add any cooked vegetables, such as green beans, bok choy or broccoli, to soup.
