LAY'S® 75th Birthday Cupcakes

Celebrate with the LAY'S® Brand for their 75th Anniversary with these LAY'S® Classic Potato Chips Birthday Cupcakes!


1 cup LAY'S® Classic Potato Chips, crushed (topping)
1 cup Unsalted butter
½ cup Whole milk, room temperature
3 Lg Eggs, room temperature
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
1 ½ cups All purpose flour
¼ cup Cornstarch
1 1/3 cups Sugar
2 tsp Baking powder

½ tsp Iodized salt
2 tbsp Colored sprinkles
½ tsp Kosher salt (topping)
1 container Prepared vanilla icing


1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
2. In a microwave safe bowl melt butter, and let cool
3. Sift all the dry ingredients (except sugar) and set aside
4. Add all wet ingredients and sugar in a bowl, and mix well to combine
5. Add sprinkles to mixture
6. Add flour mixture, and fold until mixture comes together
7. Line 18 muffin tins with cupcake liners
8. Fill each cupcake liner 2/3 way full
9. Bake 12-18 minutes depending on your oven, until cupcake tops are light golden
10. Cool completely and top with a thin layer of vanilla icing
11. Sprinkle kosher salt on top
12. Place crushed LAY'S® Classic Potato Chips in a bowl and dip the top of the cupcakes in the chips, pressing slightly to adhere
13. Top with additional sprinkles
14. Serve immediately and savor this perfectly salty and sweet treat!
