SUNCHIPS® ORIGINAL MULTIGRAIN CHIPS INGREDIENTS: Whole Corn, Sunflower Oil, Whole Wheat, Rice Flour, Whole Oat Flour, Sugar, and Salt. CONTAINS A WHEAT INGREDIENT.

Scientists agree that the evidence is very strong showing that increased consumption of whole grains helps to reduce the risk of heart disease.   The FDA has approved a health claim regarding whole grains and heart health to help consumers identify products with at least 51% whole grains.  The health claim appears on SUNCHIPS® packaging.

SUNCHIPS® are made with NuSunTM sunflower oil, a mid-oleic sunflower oil, which is high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids and has less than 10% saturated fatty acids and zero grams of trans fatty acids. Research has shown that polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats help lower LDL “bad” cholesterol and may reduce the risk of heart disease.
