    Meet the Lay’s “Do Us A Flavor” Winning Flavor!
    Earlier this year, we shared with you the announcement of the second U.S. version of the Lay’s “Do Us A Flavor” contest, where fans were asked to submit their ideas for the next great Lay’s potato chip flavor. After more than 14 million submissions, four finalist flavors were chosen to be developed by our culinary experts and sold in stores.

    Cracker Jack Brings the Ball Game to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
    Not too long ago, we brought you a story about “The Surprise Inside Project” by the Cracker Jack brand. The project encouraged parents around the country to bring small, but meaningful surprises for their families. Through the project, the Cracker Jack brand was able to help hundreds of families pull off a variety of small projects ranging from at-home spa days to picnics and movie nights. To continue the fun, the brand recently announced another surprise – a float in the 88th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

    Continuing Our Commitment to a Sustainable Fleet!
    Did you know there are more than 15 million natural gas vehicles on the road worldwide? Of those 15 million, only 140,000 are in the United States. At Frito-Lay, we are continuing to grow our fleet of compressed natural gas tractor-trucks. Our current goal to have 333 trucks on the road by the end of 2014 to eliminate more than 13,000 metric tons of carbon emissions – that’s the equivalent of more than 1,800 cars! Of course, if we want to reach this goal we also need to make sure our drivers have a place to fill up.

    Celebrating the Fifth Annual PepsiCo Day of Caring
    Yesterday morning I woke up extra early to join Frito-Lay President & CEO Tom Greco and a few coworkers in downtown Dallas to kick off the fifth annual PepsiCo United Way Day of Caring. A few hours later, an estimated 1,200 PepsiCo and Frito-Lay associates spread across the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex to contribute 5,000 volunteer hours in a single day to benefit dozens of North Texas United Way agencies.
