NEW YORK - The United Nations Association of New York’s (UNA-NY) 2009 Annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at a private club in New York. “It is an honor to have our work recognized by the United Nations Association of New York with this prestigious award” said Lord Foster, Founder and Chairman of Foster + Partners. “In celebrating the achievements of the organizations and the individuals who are developing and implementing sustainable solutions, we raise awareness and, hopefully, inspire the next generation of environmental innovators.”

"Our company’s important environmental steps are taken as part of PepsiCo's "Performance with Purpose" sustainability vision. America is shifting to a 'greener culture', with more and more businesses understanding that environmental responsibility also has the added benefit of reducing costs. We believe strongly that companies like ours do have a significant impact on reducing greenhouse gasses in the world we live in. At the same time, we’re also reducing our operating costs for energy and other precious resources like water.”
