Lora DeVuono and Jaya Kumar Named Group Vice Presidents


PLANO, Texas - Frito-Lay announced today the appointment of two senior executives to jointly lead the Marketing function at the world’s largest snack food company.

Lora DeVuono, who is a 21-year brand marketing veteran, has been named Group Vice President, Brand Marketing and Advertising. In this role, DeVuono is accountable for building Frito-Lay’s megabrands, brand communications including advertising, packaging and promotions and driving the Health and Wellness agenda. She is responsible for all the company’s brands including Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos and Tostitos – all $1 billion-plus brands. Prior to this appointment, DeVuono was Vice President of Advertising and Communications.

Jaya Kumar, who has 17 years of both international and domestic brand management and sales experience, has been named Group Vice President of Insights, Innovation and Shopper Marketing. In this role, Kumar is charged with accelerating the innovation agenda, developing consumer and customer insights and leveraging the company’s megabrands in the retail environment as well as regional marketing. Most recently, Kumar was Vice President of Consumer Strategy, Insights and Growth.

DeVuono and Kumar will report directly to Irene Rosenfeld, Chairman and CEO of Frito-Lay North America.

Frito-Lay North America is the convenient foods division of PepsiCo, which is headquartered in New York. In addition to Frito-Lay, PepsiCo divisions include Pepsi-Cola, Quaker Oats, Gatorade and Tropicana.
