SEATTLE, Washington – Unlike any snack ever seen, the word “new” actually means something with the launch of new Oh Boy! Oberto Beef Jerky Crisps. The innovative, first-of-its-kind snack, designed to bridge the gap between beef jerky and traditional snack chips, provides a “best of both worlds” snacking experience. Oh Boy! Oberto Beef Jerky Crisps combine the great taste of seasoned, oven-roasted lean beef snacks with the thin crispy, crunchy texture of a traditional snack chip. The revolutionary new all beef snack marks the first entry of meat snacks into the larger, broader snack chip category, rolling out nationally in September.
“Oh Boy! Oberto Beef Jerky Crisps bring together our company’s long history of delicious meat snacks with the appeal of traditional snacks,” said Tom Campanile, president, Oberto Sausage Company. “This easy to eat snack provides a new way for people to enjoy the great taste of lean beef snacks , from serving them in a bowl at a party, to eating them with a variety of dips.”
The 2.2 ounce package, available in three delicious flavors including Original, Sweet Mesquite and Smokey BBQ, will sell for $3.49 and be available nationally at mass merchandise, grocery and convenience stores. The new snacks are high in protein with 13 grams of protein per one ounce serving and zero grams trans fat making them a great snack for the entire family.
“The innovation behind Oh Boy! Oberto Beef Jerky Crisps ‘bridging the snack gap’ oven-roasted lean beef snacks to consumers who may not have enjoyed beef jerky in the past,” added Campanile. “The great taste and design of these crisps make them perfect for people looking to fuel up during a busy day or experience a new twist on traditional snacks.”
